Thing 3

Now for my comment about anything "technology":

I've been using Goodreads as a site where I can both post about the various books I've read and want to read and as a tool to let people know what's happening in certain groups. I started out using Goodreads as a memory tool but it's grown to much more than that. (I had the privilege of listening to one of the co-founders discuss the multiple facets of the site and it was just amazing.)

Here's the thing. I've set up more than one group on Goodreads and though I put information about events and what we're reading on there, not everyone reads it or is even willing to have an account. Therefore, this is all dependent on people being proactive in terms of getting their own page or being willing to have the info fed to them via whatever it is that we're supposed to do to get the info.

I really need to know more about certain kinds of feeds, too. I know my life would be easier if I subscribed to some of these, too, but I'm not sure how to do this. I'm sure it's easy but I still muck about with Facebook and Goodreads and continue to be nervous about them.

'nuf said for now. b
