Well - this is the first time I've ever done this. The thought of blogging is somewhat overwhelming. It's kind of laying yourself out there although I don't feel that way about Facebook since I can choose my privacy settings there.
I've read other people's blogs and all sorts of other things on the web. One of my favorites is witnessLA.com although I'm not sure that's a blog. I think it is. I find all the terminology - ya know - RSS, blogs, listservs, social networking, and about a million other things I've forgotten kind of intimidating. I've been using computers for many years but my aging brain isn't retaining all the new stuff as efficiently as when I was younger.
I look forward to meeting the others in this series of classes - well, virtually, anyways. And sorry for jumping in so late in the first week.
I get caught up in the language myself. My father and I are always discussing and laughing at that! All those crazy words - flickr, glogster, twitter! Oh my! I always think of it all like a car - I know VERY few parts of the car (most of which are just the ones I personally interact with daily - steering wheel, turn signal, etc.) but I get in and I drive (and I enjoy it!) I don't know how it all works really, but I have fun playing!
